Damian ‘Junior Gong’ Marley has confirmed that he and Roc Nation rapper Jay Z have done work on a new project.
In an interview with Billboard Magazine Junior Gong revealed that he and Jay Z did some work in studio overseas and that it was at that time Jay Z requested to come to Jamaica for a musical tour.
Speculations were rampant over the weekend after photos of Jay Z on the island went viral. One such photo saw Junior Gong hosting Jay Z at Bob Marley’s Tuff Gong Recording Studio along with Sister Nancy. Jay Z and Junior Gong also shot scenes in Trench Town for what is being labelled as an upcoming visual.
Though this will be their first collaboration musically, Jay Z and Junior Gong have a long standing business relationship after Gong signed as a co-owner of the Jay – Z owned music streaming service Tidal.
